“Jacksonville-based Singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Damien Lamar experiments with innovative electronic production, sound-engineering and more as a Creative Commons collaboration project, named “The Damien Lamar Experiment”

The Damien Lamar Experiment marks the first official release from Damien Lamar’s new Jacksonville, Florida based netlabel, professor:clock records. Fans of 2008’s sophomore album, Waiting won’t be disappointed with intentionally-processed vocals and remixes included on this 13-track Creative Commons experiment. The ‘Experiment’ takes listeners on an “aurgasmic” journey through EDM glitches, moog frequencies, vocal textures and jazz riffs beginning with leading single “LifeTime”. The track listing includes reduxed material from Damien’s past collaborations and ends with in an dark, alarming apocalyptic track, appropriately named “5125”. The track is inspired by the conspiracy theories surrounding the 5,125 year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar and the end of the Mayan calendar; what is said to be the “end of era” to begin on December 21, 2012. The album is Damien’s transition record while he continues recording for the second installment to his series, “the new adventures of professor:clock”. Damien Lamar plans to release a studio album in June 2013 combined with a video featurette (short film) complete with a box set and vinyl LP. The digital release will only be available through Official.fm, NoiseTrade.com and Soundcloud is packed with production and collaboration with Stephan Pitois, White Linen, Tommy Bridgewater and international producers The Cakefonz, Mikhael “Mika/L” Jabroux, KAMAGEKA and Ginivr.
